Growing up in a musical family, Çağdaş Arsén Gürer developed a love for the piano at a young age. His teacher and mentor was his grandfather, also a professional violinist/pianist and composer in Istanbul.
After graduating from the Austrian College St. Georg in Istanbul, Arsén came to Vienna to study musicology, classical composition and jazz piano. He completed his education with Wolfgang Reisinger, Martin Wöss, Michael Tiefenbacher, Alexandra Karastoyanova Hermentin, Clemens Salesny and Ulf Diether Soyka, among others.
Arsén worked as a music director at the International Cultural Association Nazim Hikmet and composed as a freelancer for short films and digital advertisements, whilst performing several concerts with his band Filler's End, as well as numerous collaborations with professional musicians in various locations throughout Austria and Europe.
Currently, Arsén is working on his solo piano album, the album of his newest electro-acoustic project NOTYOURORDINARY (Spotify) , and several freelance music & sound-design projects, such as the award-winning film "That Crow at the End" with the next showing on January 7th at the Chicago Blowup Film Festival (That Crow at the End (Video 2022) - IMDb) and the musical "Einhörner gibt es wirklich" by Stefanie Mayer with its premiere on November 11, 2022 at the Konzerthaus Klagenfurt.
In addition to his music, he has been offering workshops and lessons for piano, keyboard & synthesizers for over 10 years. Arsén wants to pass on his passion for music to others and inspire them to create music themselves.
